MAJESTIC CINE-RIDE

cinebalade_majestic_bandeau_edited.jpg

We start with a cine-walk to rediscover the district as a filming location. The Man from Rio, Inception, Mission Impossible, The Last Tango in Paris, Fear of the City are on the list of must-sees. And as usual, films that are sometimes less well-known, shown in extracts or in photos, will make you unbeatable on the Eiffel Tower and Passy in the cinema. After that you will be greeted by the manager of the  Majestic Passy  in person who will introduce you to one of its projection booths and show you a short montage of advertisements and news on original 35mm film. This little moment, retro as you wish, made possible thanks to a generous loan from the Atelier du 7e Art , will bring this cinema morning to a close.

Some opinions on this walk

Pleasant and informative morning. Congratulations for the film extracts broadcast "in situ", the snack at the Majestic and the projection in the cabin.

An elegant stroll in the footsteps of the filmmakers who were inspired by the book, We are on the Trocadéro with Belmondo, then we are on the Bir Hakeim bridge with Léonard Di Caprio in Inception.
We live these breathtaking moments in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower...

Very interesting cinema walk in the Chaillot district, lots of anecdotes and information. Excellent idea at the end to discover the Majestic Passy, with viewing of 35 mm films and an exciting demonstration in the projection booth. Recommended!

Very nice discovery to recommend to cinema lovers. Juliette is a passionate guide and makes us rediscover extracts from films (L'homme de Rio, Peur sur la Ville, James Bond, Inception, The Last Tango in Paris and others) on the very location of the filming. To end this lovely walk , welcome by the Director of the Majestic Passy Cinema. After a nice snack, and a short film bringing together advertisements, news from the 1960s and film extracts from Charlot, discovery of a projection booth with demonstration and many explanations

A very good moment.

What a great balance between a walk to discover the Eiffel Tower from all angles through cult films and a more technical visit to the Majestic! And the icing on the cake: fascinating and passionate guides.
