FRANÇOIS TRUFFAUT MOVIE TOUR
By embodying the New Wave, the filmmaker offers us an ideal setting for a film walk with the streets of Paris as the backdrop. You will stroll through his favorite neighborhood, that of his childhood and his film buff. Around the Place de Clichy, the film Les 400 coups gave birth to the young Antoine Doinel, his most loyal spokesperson for nearly 20 years. Still in the district, the cinemas constantly remind us of his passion for films.
Sets, places of life, characters, actors and friends will guide this guided tour which mixes fiction and reality and during which we will show you extracts from his films on tablet.
Tour created in 2014 in partnership with the French Cinematheque.

For who ?
This visit is perfect for unconditional fans of François Truffaut (and there are many of them!) But it is also suitable for anyone who would be curious to learn more about his work and his personality. If you have already seen The 400 Blows, it is a plus to enjoy the visit. As for teachers, they can integrate it into their program by combining it with a visit of the Museum of the Cinematheque, for example.
Group of 15 people maximum for individual registrations. Up to 20 people for groups already formed. Possibility of composing several groups.
Weather report
Tours take place in all weathers, even in the rain! In the event of extreme weather (storms or hot weather), Ciné-Balade will contact you the day before or the morning of the visit to cancel or postpone it if possible.
Some opinions on this walk
Very nice visit to the Paris of François Truffaut, with a very interesting guide and a fair balance between explanations and viewing of film extracts.

Going back in the footsteps of François Truffaut in the 9th and 18th arrondissements of Paris on this beautiful Sunday in June, while listening to the fascinating Juliette, was a real pleasure. Through our discussions, we rediscovered the filmmaker who was once a rebellious child, and of course discovered many aspects of his personality and his work that we did not know.
A walk to highly recommend!

I took two walks (Lumières and François Truffaut) both very informative and fun, giving us lots of information and anecdotes on the films, the filming locations, the lives of artists, cultural history, history of Paris, handling great history and more unusual facts with great ease. In a relaxed atmosphere, the two hours pass very quickly and we come out with the desire to (re) see all the films mentioned… and to take the other walks. Thank you !

Thank you Juliette for this pleasant walk this Friday and for having made us rediscover the universe of this great director that was François Truffaut; I will follow the news on the site and on Facebook and I hope that when I next come to Paris (I now live in Guadeloupe) I could take part in an outing.
Otherwise, I strongly advise everyone to visit CINE BALADE, which is very friendly and pleasant.

The stroll in the 9th / 18th arrondissement on the life and films of Francois Truffaut was very interesting in several regards: neighborhood, characters of Truffaut, his childhood, places important to him etc. And the kind and guide Juliette provided extracts from the films on her tablet, which enriched this walk even more. Thanks for a great afternoon!

A personal visit to the 9th arrondissement with Juliette in the footsteps of Francois Truffaut, his many films (especially the 400 shots) and his peers like Charles Aznavour, Alain Resnais, Jeanne Moreau, etc. Juliette is an exciting and very flexible guide even with large groups. We followed her course with a large group of friends and Juliette adapted her path straight away and without any problem so that everyone could follow at their own pace. We would love to stay longer and highly recommend!

Sincere thanks for yesterday's walk dedicated to François Truffaut, allowing me to discover the heart of the 9th arrondissement from which my left bank keeps me far away The content, the relevance, the means (thank you iPad for the excerpts!) And above all the tone, made this walk interesting, informative, fun, that the weather quite bad (but it could have rained frankly!) Did not tainted. See you next time for sure.
